Belleza Juvenil Internacional 2008 a Las Vegas

Patricia Sturla Studios produjo, junto con Telemundo, la segunda edición de Belleza Juvenil Internacional 2008. El magno evento se realizo este pasado domingo, 30 de marzo en el Grand Ballroom del Texas Station Hotel en Las Vegas, Nevada… la ciudad de las luces y de los grandes shows. El mismo será televisado por Telemundo 39, en Las Vegas.


















El evento organizado en mancuerda por Patricia Sturla Studios y Telemundo fue una experiencia mágica e inolvidable donde los participantes transportaron a la audiencia hasta la madre patria… España…luciendo trajes espectaculares y mostrando espontaneidad y entusiasmo desde los más pequeñitos a la frescura y carisma de los más grandes.






























Un total de 140 esperanzados jóvenes compitieron en frente de un panel de jueces compuesto por agentes, productores, diseñadores y otros profesionales del medio del entretenimiento, quienes seleccionaron a los ganadores de ambos sexos en tres diferentes categorías (4-7, 8-12 y 13-18 años).













Belleza Juvenil Internacional 2008 fue presentada por Rodolfo Renwick, conductor y actor Venezolano protagonista de telenovelas. El espectáculo incluyo la participación de prominentes profesionales del entretenimiento e intérpretes de la música, Mario Reyes & Gipsy Dreams, quienes deleitaron con su talento el evento, tocando y cantando los conocidos ritmos de los Gipsy Kings.















































Los aspirantes que cumplieron el sueño de destacarse en el escenario y ganar este competitivo concurso fueron:
• 4 a 7 años: Cassidy Rodríguez y Pablo Palma.
• 8 a 12 años: Leslie Vergara y Reynaldo Pardo.
• 13 a 18 años: Geisy Hernandez y Julio Bello.













Los seis recibirán premios, una beca de estudio en modelaje, baile y actuación en Patricia Sturla Studios, representación en el medio artístico por un agente, apariciones publicitarias, trajes de noche, cambios completos de imagen, portafolios completos de fotos profesionales y la oportunidad de presentar como reporteros y reporteritos en segmentos esporádicos de Telemundo, para poder así conquistar el medio artístico.

Premios adicionales fueron entregados a los seis mejores trajes españoles de la noche otorgados por Patricia Sturla Studios. Dos boletos de viaje, ida y vuelta a Mexico, por parte de AeroMéxico, a dos ganadores seleccionados por televidentes en la promoción televisada titulada “Voto de la Gente” y también patrocinada por Findlay Toyota de Las Vegas.

Taping of "Despierta América" for Palomita Clothing

Students of Patricia Sturla Studios grabbed the spotlight once again while modeling the wonderful line of T-shirts created by apparel industry icon Molly Robbins, owner of popular teen fashion brand Palomita Clothing.



























The taping, which took place in Downtown L.A.'s historic Pershing Square and was produced by Liza Fernandez and hosted by Amelia Maquiavelo, will air on Despierta America on February 7, 2008.

Casting Seminar with Orlette Ruiz

On Monday, November 12, we were lucky enough to have as our guest teacher veteran casting director Orlette Ruiz, founder and president of Mambo Casting, a leader in the Hispanic/US entertainment market. In a special one-day seminar at our Los Angeles studio, she taught our young participating students and alumni how to develop, train, and perfect their casting techniques and shared precious tips on how to successfully book entertainment industry jobs like commercials, TV shows, and films.

Promotional Campaign for Telscape

A few behind-the-scenes pics of a new advertising photo shoot for bilingual telecommunications giant Telscape.



























The shot took place at our Los Angeles studio on October 15. The models selected for this project were Cristina Moran, Jose Luis Torres, Cristina Ponce, and Jose de Jesus Carrillo, all students/alumni of Patricia Sturla Studios.

Taping a commercial for Movilnet

Patricia Sturla Studios students Sharif Donchet, Efrain Estrada, Josimar Beltran, Nati Martinez, and Roboam Mendoza were cast in the latest TV commercial for Venezuelan state-owned mobile operator Movilnet.



























The taping took place on September 29 in Sherman Oaks. As you can see from these images, it was lots of fun, but it also offered our students valuable on-the-job experience. Great job, everyone!

Patricia Sturla Presides Over International Jury at "Miss & Mister Salute Tisanoreica" Contest

On September 1, 2007, at the legendary Capannina in Forte dei Marmi (Italy), a panel of 15 expert judges (leaders in fashion, beauty, and the entertainment industry) selected the new Miss and Mister Salute Tisanoreica among 16 talented young male and female finalists.












































This innovative beauty contest, created and produced by Italian entrepreneur Gianluca Mech, successfully challenges the widespread, contemporary obsession with ultra-thin bodies "at all costs" by putting health back on center stage. Participants, symbolically called Sirens and Dolphins, are not simply chosen for their harmonious proportions and good looks, but also for their intelligence, positive attitude and sense of humor, as well as for the high level of self-discipline necessary for leading a balanced and healthy lifestyle.




































Angelica Quatela, an 18-year old native of Biella, and Emanuele Fiore, 19 years old, from Torino, were crowned Miss Health and Mister Health, respectively. Both embody and wholeheartedly embrace the contest's very positive and holistic definition of beauty: vibrant, healthy and health-conscious, balanced, and natural.

Also honored were Andrea Bonaldo, 32, who received a sash "Dietro la Bellezza" (Behind the Beauty), and Marija Mihaljevic, 22, who received a sash "Armonia delle Forme" (Harmony of Forms).





























As winners of the contest, Angelica and Emanuele will tour through Italy for a year, inspiring and educating young people in the art (and discipline) of self-care. In March of 2008, their extraordinary journey will bring them to Los Angeles, where – thanks to two full scholarships offered by Patricia Sturla as part of their prize – they will study modeling and acting at Patricia Sturla Studios.
